Is Litigation Harvesting Destroying the American Dream?

I’d like to apologize upfront, because usually I enjoy a good laugh at the expense of the absurdities within the legal world. But today, I’m not laughing. In fact, I’m actually pretty ticked off.

You see, this whole litigation harvesting debacle is not just a cash grab—it’s an assault on the American Dream.

Now, for those unfamiliar, litigation harvesting is when law firms and hedge funds team up to create a mass production line of lawsuits, using the justice system like a high-yield investment scheme.

Lawyers, public adjusters, and shady financing firms are planting the seeds of frivolous claims, cultivating them, and cashing in on the fruits of their labor.

And what’s their goal?

Simple: profit.

At any cost.

But what these bad actors fail to realize—or worse, don’t care about—is that their greed could have catastrophic consequences for all of us.

They’re not just trying to win a few big settlements; they’re trying to shift public opinion against the insurance industry.

And if they succeed, the ripple effects could devastate the very foundation of the American economy.

Let me spell this out for you: Without a healthy insurance industry, people wouldn’t be able to buy homes, build businesses, or protect their families from unforeseen disasters.

And this isn’t just about Florida (though, as Floridians, we’re particularly vulnerable).

This impacts the entire nation.

If insurance companies throw up their hands and say, “We’re out,” because of endless lawsuits and skyrocketing costs, we’re all in trouble.

Think about it.

Who’s going to insure your home after the next hurricane if companies are being litigated into oblivion?

You know those policies you count on to rebuild your life after a disaster?

Well, they might not be there.

And let me tell you, it won’t just affect insurance prices—it will impact everything.

Property values could plummet, new construction would stall, and banks would tighten up loans.

The ripple effect could send shockwaves through the housing market and beyond.

But of course, the lawyers and hedge funds orchestrating this whole scheme don’t care about that.

They’ve got dollar signs in their eyes and see a golden opportunity to cash in, without a second thought for the long-term damage they’re causing.

They’ve even got major media outlets like 60 Minutes and The Washington Post singing their tune, trying to make it seem like the insurance industry is the big, bad wolf.

Let me ask you, where’s the balance in this story?

These media giants are happy to put lawyers and public adjusters on camera, telling tales of woe, but not a single representative from the insurance industry?

Not one voice from the people who actually make sure homes are rebuilt after a storm?

That’s not journalism—that’s cherry-picking a narrative to push an agenda.

And it’s dangerous.

What we’re seeing here is an attempt to undermine the entire system just so a few people can get richer than they already are.

And for what?

A quick payout at the expense of every homeowner, business owner, and consumer in America?

This is not just reckless—it’s immoral. And I’m willing to call it what it is: treachery.

I’m no lawyer, but even I can tell you that this is the kind of greed that tears down nations.

The insurance industry, for all its flaws, is essential to maintaining the stability of our economy and our communities.

We can’t survive without it.

But lawyers?

Public adjusters?

These bad actors who want to manipulate the system for personal gain?

We could do just fine without them.

So here’s my challenge to the Florida Justice Association and all the firms playing this game: Prove me wrong.

Show me that this isn’t just a scheme to line your pockets at the expense of the American Dream.

And if you want to debate it, meet me in Tallahassee. I’m ready to go toe-to-toe with your best debater.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just about lawsuits.

It’s about the future of our country.

And I’m not going to sit quietly while a bunch of greedy lawyers try to tear it all down for a quick buck.
