Instead of allowing homeowners to rush into decisions, he advises them to notify their insurance agents or companies before signing any contracts.

This guidance not only saves homeowners from unscrupulous contractors but also ensures that their repairs are handled by reliable professionals.

Homeowners now have 30 days to rescind contracts with public adjusters and 10 days to rescind contracts with roofing contractors—giving people the breathing room they need to make decisions with a clear head.

Patronis also launched a pilot program aimed at making the post-storm recovery process even smoother.
